LVA On the Go Coming to Bristol Public Library August 17

The Library of Virginia is bringing Library resources, staff expertise and programming to locations across Virginia in their custom van. Partnering with public libraries and other organizations, LVA On the Go ambassadors help you engage with local history, family history, the Library’s educational materials and more.


Saturday, August 17 10am - 2pm

Activities will include: 

10:00 a.m. – Virginia Untold: The African American Narrative

11:00 a.m. – Genealogy 101 (beginner family history research)

1:00 p.m. – Remaking Virginia (the post-Civil War Reconstruction era in Virginia)
