INVITATION TO LIVE POETS: Wedneday March 5, 7:00-8:30

Writer: VWPVWP

An invitation from Bill Prindle, host of Live Poets meeting March 5th at the Gordonsville Library, C'ville...

Dear fellow writers: the turbulence and the negativity in our public square is calling me as a poet to amp up my commitment to creative witness as an act for my own sanity, and for the health of our civil society.

Gathering in small groups to tell stories, recite poems, sing songs, and dance is the oldest ritual form in human existence. My take is that we need to recommit to this kind of gathering, to lift our spirits, strengthen our connections, and find the joy and compassion we need to co-create a better future.

For these reasons, and just for the fun and the company, I invite you to our next Live Poets gathering this week, the usual spot at Gordon Avenue Library. Bring whatever moves you in the written word; all of us are welcome, as are all written and spoken forms. We'll read and listen appreciatively in rounds until we're out of material or out of time.

Lastly, from the Shameless Commerce Division, my new book is out in preorder, discounts available the next couple of months. See link below for online preorders. And let me know if you'd like a signed copy: I can order for you, and sign it at a Live Poets meeting later this year.

Thanks,

Bill
